How To Use Medical Bandage?
Oct 16, 2021
Medical bandages are divided into cotton gauze bandages and elastic bandages. Whether it is a gauze bandage or an elastic bandage, its purpose is mainly to bandage or fix.
Cotton gauze bandage: It is mainly used for bandaging and fixing after external wound dressing in-hospital surgery and family.
Elastic bandage: It is mainly used for retention bandaging of patients with varicose veins of the lower extremities and orthopedics to improve blood circulation and prevent swelling of the limbs. It can also replace the multi-head abdominal band after surgery and can be used for compression bandaging of different parts of the human body or general wound bandaging. The polymer bandages commonly used in hospitals are now elastic bandages. Sichenbonny polymer bandage is made of glass fiber cloth (or polyester fiber cloth) coated with synthetic polyurethane glue and then rolled into a roll with a reel. There are two kinds of material, namely glass fiber bandage and polyester bandage.
So what should I pay attention to when choosing and using medical bandages (polymer bandages)?

1. It should be isolated from the wound during use.
2. It depends on the appearance of the product when purchasing. The product should be white, free of yellow spots, pollution, serious weaving defects, or broken threads.
3. It should be a clean and non-oozing ointment, and the roll of the ointment cloth should be neat and flat.
4. Look at the packaging logo and product manual. The packaging should have the words "sterile" or graphic symbols, instructions or graphic symbols for one-time use, and instructions or signs for prohibiting damage to the package.
5. Do not touch the middle composite pad with your hands after unsealing. They are generally sold as non-sterile medical products. If using a medical bandage on the wound site, consider using it separately from the wound.
The above is the classification and precautions of medical bandages, I hope it will be helpful to everyone.
